GOVERNOR PHILLIP PARK

Public BBQ

Governor Phillip Park in Windsor sits right on the Hawkesbury River, offering families a spacious waterfront spot for picnics and play. The park features electric BBQs under sheltered picnic tables, making it easy to cook up lunch with river views. The large playground is gated and packed with equipment including a zip line, trampolines, tunnels, and musical elements. There's also a small water play area, so bring swimmers for the kids. The playground's rubber flooring shows some wear in spots, with torn sections noted. Plenty of open grass spaces give families room to spread out, and shaded areas under trees provide relief on hot days. The park stays clean and well-maintained, with toilets on site. Walking paths run along the river and through the park, where you'll spot plenty of birdlife in the trees. A boat ramp provides river access. The peaceful riverside setting makes it a popular picnic destination, though keep an eye out for speeding boats if you're near the water's edge.
